The Washington Post excited fate Moscow kiosks

The American newspaper The Washington Post published an article that criticized the mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov, for his desire to rid the capital of Russia stalls on the streets to make Moscow to the city of chic boutiques. The newspaper believes that its actions threatened Luzhkov small businesses, which for many years creating comfortable living conditions for Muscovites. According to the publication, Moscow Mayor destroys places where residents of the capital are buying their products, alcohol, cigarettes, flowers, clothing and other stuff.
According to the Moscow authorities, now in the capital of more than 10 thousand stationary kiosks and mobile nine million. In the Moscow mayor's office believe that they spoil view of the city and should therefore be removed from the streets.
Since the beginning of 2007, Moscow authorities are gradually cleaning stalls from the streets in an effort to reduce their number by 20 per cent a year.
